Educational Oversight for Tier 4

Choosing the appropriate Educational Oversight Body for Tier 4 purposes

Please see BAC's guide (click here to download) for advice on which body you should apply to for Educational Oversight. Please note that this is provided for guidance purposes only and if you are at all unsure over which body would be most appropriate for your institution you should check directly with the Educational Oversight Body in question.

Educational Oversight application workshops

Following our well-attended, free event on Educational Oversight last month, BAC will be holding a number of half-day workshops at the end of August to provide colleges with more detailed guidance on making an application to either QAA or ISI. This will be your opportunity to join a smaller group of delegates in discussing the application procedure of your chosen Educational Oversight Body and receiving advice from one of BAC’s independent experts.

The delegate fee is £49 for BAC-accredited institutions and £149 for others.

Institutions applying to QAA should attend one of the workshops on Thursday 25 August. Please choose one of the following sessions:

  • Morning: registration at 9:30, workshop 10:00-13:00.
  • Afternoon: registration at 13:30, workshop 14:00-17:00.

** Both QAA workshops are now fully booked **

Institutions applying to ISI should attend one of the workshops on Tuesday 31 August. Please choose one of the following sessions:

  • Morning: registration at 9:30, workshop 10:00-13:00.
  • Afternoon: registration at 13:30, workshop 14:00-17:00.

The workshops will be held at a central London venue to be confirmed shortly.

If you would like to attend one of these workshops please complete and return the booking form to events@the-bac.org, by fax to 0300 330 1401, or by post to the BAC offices at 44 Bedford Row, to arrive by the booking deadline of midday on Wednesday 24 August. Bookings must be accompanied by full payment of the delegate fees by BACS or cheque.

Please note that places at these workshops will be strictly limited in order to give time for detailed questions and answers, and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Priority will, however, be given to the first delegate from each institution, with additional delegates welcomed dependent on space.

Please direct any queries to Lucy Whitehead by either telephone on 0300 330 1400 or email on events@the-bac.org.
